I personally make 6 figures income every month from my blogs and I believe that I can give you the best answer to this query.
If you are a beginner and want to start blogging and you might be wondering how much money can I make from blogging in India.
So here in this article, I will try my level best to help you answer all your doubts. I would request you to please read this whole article once and I promise you that all your doubts will get cleared.
How Much Money Can You Make From Blogging in India
I will come straight to the point and the answer is “unlimited”. Yes, you read it right you can make an unlimited amount of money from your blogs.
But there are many factors that determine how much you can earn per month from blogging. Let’s discuss them one by one.
1. Your Niche (Topic)
Selecting the right topic for your blog is very important because if you are a beginner then most probably you are going to start monetizing your blogs through Google Adsense.
Google Adsense is a pay-per-click advertising network that pays you whenever anybody clicks on your ads. It places contextual ads related to your blog niche.
For example:
If your blog is in the health and fitness niche then your CPC (cost per click) will be very good as compared to a blog that is all about Shayari and jokes.
I personally have a blog in the health and fitness niche and the CPC which I get is very good.
2. Blog Traffic
The more traffic you will get on your blog the more you will make from google Adsense or by any other monetization methods.
With Google Adsense, it is very simple because when you have high traffic blog the more clicks you are going to get and this will ultimately result in more income.
However, if you are doing affiliate marketing then you can make more money with less traffic provided you are getting a targeted audience.
For example:
If you write about blogging then you can promote web hosting products and services that will help your readers to achieve their blogging goals.
The traffic here will have a high conversation ratio because your audience is highly targeted means they also want to become a successful blogger.
3. Keyword Research
If you are a beginner then you must do keyword research properly before starting to write your blog posts because since your blog is new its authority level is very less and google does not trust low authority sites.
Many newbie bloggers ignore keyword research and target any keyword without knowing the difficulty level to rank for that particular keyword or phrase.
They usually target very high search volume keywords but they don’t understand the fact that if the search volume is high then the competition will be also very high.
It will be extremely difficult for a new blog to rank for high-volume keywords. The best way to get that initial traction is to go for low search volume keywords.
This will help you to get the initial traffic and of course later when your blog authority level increases then you can try for high competition keywords.
For example:
Let’s say that your blog is in the weight loss niche then you should not go for keywords like “How to lose weight” or “Weight loss tips”
You are not going to rank for these keywords if your blog is new. By the way weight loss niche is a highly saturated niche and even pro bloggers stay away from this niche.
But does this mean you cannot get success here? No, you can definitely get success if you select the ultra-low volume keywords.
4. Try Affiliate Marketing
Many newbie bloggers think that in order to earn money from your blog you must signup for any ad network however, this is true that it’s one of the easiest ways to make money from the blog.
But I have seen many blogs where they earn pennies by showing contextual ads but when they tried affiliate marketing they were making way lots of money.
You may never know which monetization methods will skyrocket your earnings. The best way for beginners is to try different methods and try to diversify their income streams.
To make money with affiliate marketing does not require you to have lots of traffic. Even with a small amount of targeted traffic you can make very good money.
For example:
If your blog is in the pet niche then you can promote pet foods and accessories. We all love our pets and we want to see them happy.
So you can promote a variety of products on your blog. If you go on Amazon you will find thousands of products that can be a good candidate for promotion on your blog.
5. English Vs Regional Blogs
In India, we have many languages but if you want to quickly earn a decent amount of money without putting your blood and sweat then I would highly recommend you start an English blog.
But as I told you that you will have to do proper keyword research in order to find low competitive keywords and believe me that even if you are able to rank a few posts in the top positions with decent search volume then you will make very good money.
I have personally tried Hindi blogging but right now I focus mainly on English blogs because I love to have a global audience.
It might take a year to see a decent amount of traffic but trust me you will not regret it later. Blogging in a regional language does not convert well in affiliate marketing as well as if you will use any ad network then the CPC will also be very less.
So the efforts are very high and the income is very low in regional blogs. This is the reason why I don’t focus much on my other regional blogs.
Even I personally know a few bloggers who are earning a heck lots of money but they don’t want to expose themselves so they prefer not to come in limelight.
6. Traffic Location
This is the most important factor which will highly influence your earning potential. If you are able to get traffic from top-tier countries like the US, UK, and Canada then you can earn very good money no matter whether you use Google Adsense or affiliate marketing.
The conversion rate is very high if you will get traffic from these countries. The CPC you will get here will be 5 to 6 times as compared to other countries.
I personally have a health and fitness blog where the CPC is really very good and I am not the only one who is claiming this you can ask any blogger who gets traffic from top-tier countries and you will know the truth.
For example:
If you blog is about weight loss then the CPC (Estimates)will be like:
- India = 0.12$
- USA = 0.36$
- Canada = 0.25$
- UK = 0.30$
- Nigeria = 0.10$
So even if you will get less traffic you can earn good dollars per month if you are able to get traffic from US, UK, and Canada.
