Hello friends, in this article I am going to share how much does a blogger earn in India. Right now there are many people in India who are making money online by various methods.
But the 2 most popular ways to earn money online in India are by blogging and starting a youtube channel. Well, I will cover the youtube topics in some other posts but in this article, I am going to share my thoughts and estimates about how much can a blogger earn in India.
Blogging has become a full-time job for many people and I am one of them who knows the power and true potential of blogging.
Literally blogging has changed my life and even there are many people in India who have converted blogging into a full-time online business.
They open an online media company and run hundreds of blogs in their network and earn a huge amount of money.
So, if you want to start blogging but want to know the true potential of how much you can earn then please read this entire post and I will share all my knowledge with you so that you can take your decision on whether blogging is the right choice for you.
How I Started My Blogging Journey?
Frankly speaking, I was not aware of making money online stuff. But when I was working in MNC my friend told me that you can earn a very good income by blogging.
This instantly kicked my mind and I started to do my research. But my habit is to listen to everybody but I do my own research before starting any business.
So, I started to read different blogs and was very excited to see that there are many bloggers who are earning heck lots of money.
I have read several blogging success stories online but I was not sure whether this information on the internet is legitimate or not.
Because as we all know on the internet there are many scammers who are just there to deceive other people by sharing wrong information.
How I Gained Trust in Blogging?
So my next step was how I am going to monetize my blog or website and I came to know about Google Adsense. Google Adsense is a contextual advertising network owned by Google.
You can show ads on your blog or website and when anybody clicks on your ads then you are going to earn a certain amount.
Also, I have seen many youtube videos where people were showing their Adsense revenue. After looking at all this I decided to give it a try and I started my first blog.
Unfortunately, my first blog is not online right now because, in the beginning, I did many beginner mistakes like copy-pasting, posting low-quality content, building spammy backlinks, etc.
As I gained experience then I decided to shut down that blog and started a brand new blog from scratch.
My First Payment From Google Adsense
When I started blogging way back in the year 2011-12 then at that time the competition was very less and I started to earn from my blog but it was not that much that could have let me quit my job.
I remember it was 5000 rs approx since that time the dollar rate was low and Google Adsense pays you when your account has reached the minimum threshold of $100.
At that time they used to send the check and I was very happy to see my first check, this boosted my confidence and I started to learn as much as I can about blogging, content writing, SEO, etc.
My Current Income From Blogging
I cannot disclose my exact earnings online but all I can say is that right now I am earning 6 figure income per month from my blogs.
I don’t have hundreds of blogs I run only a few blogs but I am comfortable with that. Because I believe that the less number of blogs I will have I can focus more and give more time to build and scale it up to the next level.
I tried Hindi as well as English blogging and to be really honest if your English is good then please don’t waste your time in Hindi blogging instead start an English blog.
I know the competition is more here but if you have expertise in a certain niche then definitely you can make it big.
Right now I focus only on my English blogs and will continue to do that.
How much Does a Blogger Earn in India?
Now let’s come straight to the point. See the blog earnings depend on various factors let’s discuss them one by one.
1. Niche:
Your earnings will highly depend on your niche or blog topic. A finance blog will earn more than compared to an entertainment blog.
Because the Adsense CPC is more in such niches, as well as there, are many affiliate products you can choose to promote on your blog.
There are other niches like health and fitness, weight loss, insurance, banking, technology, etc that pays good CPC.
But please don’t simply choose a topic just for the sake of getting high CPC. Instead, I would suggest you choose a niche where you have passion and this will help you to grow your blog as well as earnings.
2. Blog Language:
Literally, there are many regional languages available in India. Like Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, etc. But the problem here is the CPC will be very less compared to the English language.
If your English writing skills are good then start an English blog and you will 4 times the revenue as compared to a regional language blog.
3. Targeted Country:
If you blog in the English language then you can target developed countries like the united states, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
These are few English-speaking countries, there are many other countries where people speak English. This helps you to get more traffic and high CPC Ads.
Also if you plan to monetize your blog through affiliate marketing then also the conversion rate will be good.
4. Affiliate Marketing:
There are many bloggers in India who don’t use Google Adsense on their blogs but they do affiliate marketing. Because there are some niches where their audience is tech-savvy and they know about the ads.
So the CTR (click-through rate) on ads is very less and I have personally faced this in my blogging niche site. However, if you blog on non-tech niches then you can get a good number of clicks.
Affiliate marketing is a very good way to monetize your blog and if you will do it properly then you can earn way more than Google Adsense.
However, to become a successful affiliate marketer you must first gain the trust of your readers then only you will be able to earn more from your blogs.
I would suggest you promote only good products which will help your readers and how they can solve their problems.
Don’t just promote any product just because it will give you a good commission. Because if you will do this then your readers will sooner or later identify it.
