Hello friends, in this post I am going to show you how you can earn money by blogging in India. I started blogging in the year 2012 and it took me several years to become a successful blogger.
But due to my passion for blogging and a burning desire to earn money online I started my first blog. Unfortunately, that blog is not online now due to some mistakes I did as a beginner blogger as we all do right:)
Right now I regularly make 6 figure income from my blog networks and I am living my life to the fullest. Right now I run my blogs which are in different niches and I know different ways and channels to monetize them.

Best Ways To Earn Money From Blogging in India
1. Google Adsense
Google Adsense is the most popular way to make money from your blog in India. I have several blogs where I use only google Adsense and I make a good amount of money every month.
Google Adsense is a display advertising network that shows contextual ads on blogs and websites. It is a pay-per-click advertising network (PPC).
This means you will earn money when any visitor clicks on your Google Adsense ad. If nobody clicks then you will make no money.
So claim that Adsense does pay for ads impressions as well but this will be very less. When you start a blog you will have to publish like 15 to 20 high-quality articles then apply for Google Adsense.

To make a good amount of money from Google Adsense your blog must have a good amount of traffic. But yes if you are a beginner then you can definitely start using google Adsense and then you can try different monetization methods.
2. Media.net
Media.net is another very popular advertising network that will help you to monetize your blog but this does not support regional languages like Hindi or any other languages spoken in India.
But if you have an English blog then you can use this network and they pay really well and many people use it as a Google Adsense alternative.
Since Google has become very strict in accepting new publishers to its network, media.net can be a good choice.
Yahoo owns media.net and you must have heard the name of this search engine giant. So you rest assured that you will get your payments on time.
If you have a blog that gets traffic from the US, UK and Canada then definitely you can give this network a try and we assure you that you are not going to regret it.
Their ad units have a very high click-through rate (CTR) because they are presented in link formats that entice users to click on them.
Earlier Google Adsense used to show link ads and from my personal experience link ads get more clicks as compared to display or banner ads.
3. Taboola
Taboola is a native advertising network and their ads also have a very high click through rate, many big news agencies and other popular sites are using this network to display native ads on their site.
They also pay very well but they accept only blogs that have a high amount of traffic so if you have just started blogging then initially you must focus on driving more traffic to your blog then you can apply for this network.
Their ads are mostly displayed below the post content and when the user finishes reading the post then there is a great deal of chance that they are going to click on one of the taboola ads.
They are the industry leaders in native advertising and their ads are very attractive and are highly optimized to get high ctr.
4. Sponsored Posts
This is another very good way to make money from your blog, especially during the initial days. Because when you have just started blogging your blog might not get a huge amount of traffic.
So, in this case, you can make money from sponsored posts and this will really help you to earn your first dollar from sponsored posts.
If you don’t know what really is sponsored posts then let me explain you. Many small companies who have products or services they want to promote then approach new bloggers and ask them whether they will accept their sponsored posts.
Then it’s up to you whether you accept it or not. During my initial days of blogging, I was using Adsense but I was not making much money since my blog was not getting enough traffic.
So, I received my first sponsored post request and I accepted it; for that, I got 20 dollars and this really made me really happy.
But one important tip I would like to share with you is that you will get many requests for sponsored posts but accept only those that somehow relates to your blog topic.
For example: If your blog is about technology and if you accept some supplement company-sponsored posts then this will not be helpful to your blog readers as well as this will not help your blog as well.
5. Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is probably the best way to earn money from your blog; I personally do affiliate marketing and it really works well.
If you try to compare google Adsense or any other advertising revenue with affiliate marketing then you will find that affiliate marketing is the best and you can earn way more money.
To earn a decent income from other advertising networks you will need to have a high amount of traffic but with affiliate marketing with little traffic, you can generate more revenue.
Affiliate marketing works best on niche sites. Niche sites are blogs or website that publishes content around a particular topic.
So this helps your site to get very targeted traffic. I know in niche sites you might get a little less traffic but that traffic is highly relevant to your blog topic and this increases your conversion ratio.
For Example: If you have a bodybuilding blog then you can promote whey protein supplements. I think you got it right:)
There are literally thousands of products and services that you can promote on your blog and earn a good amount of money every month.
6. Content Writing
This is a very lucrative job to do in India and if you love content writing then you can make a good amount of money.
Basically in blogging, we do content writing so if you are a newbie in blogging then I am sure that your blog will not have much traffic right?
So how can you make money during this time, the best way is to write content for other bloggers and publishers in your niche.
I know how difficult it is to find a good and genuine content writer who has the experience, knowledge, passion, and expertise in a particular niche or topic.
I am constantly looking to hire new and talented content writers to write for my blogs. The content writers who work with me are earning anywhere between 30 to 50 thousand per month.
This might seem to you a lot of money but the truth is that yes good content writers are making this much money very easily.
If you don’t believe me then just search for any digital marketing company on google and ask them their charges for content writing work and then you will realize the potential of content writing jobs.
For Example: If you have good knowledge about banking and finance or weight loss or maybe any other topic then you can simply search ” top 10 weight loss blogs in India”.
- Ask them whether they are looking for any content writer.
- Pitch them your prior writing experience (If any).
- If you have a blog or website share it with them.
This method really works because I face this problem to find good content writers for my sites and I am sure that you will definitely get the job if you have good experience and knowledge about that particular niche or topic.
7. Guest Posting (Reverse Engineering)
If you have little knowledge about SEO then you must be knowing that backlinks are still one of the biggest ranking factors in Google’s eyes.
The more quality backlinks pointing to your site, the higher will be your blog authority and this will really help your posts to rank in the top positions in search engines.
I regularly get 5 to 6 emails daily for guest posting but I don’t accept them on this blog ( Just my personal preference).
You might be also getting guest post enquires if you have a blog that has a good amount of traffic. Even if your blog is new right now don’t worry you will get guest posting requests in the future.
So, what’s the trick here? See we all know that we have to pay for our domain name and web hosting and for this we need cash right?
And if you are a beginner then I am sure that you are not making enough money from your blogs to pay your web hosting bills.
Here is a wonderful way to just reverse engineer the guest posting requests.
- Tell them that right now you don’t accept guest posts.
- But, since your work/company/product/service is related to my blog then I can consider your guest post.
- In return, you will have to pay me like 10 to 20 dollars.
- If that person is from the US, UK, or Canada then I am 100% sure that they get ready for this deal
- Even if that person is a blogger then the same rules you can apply to them
My Suggestion: Don’t overdo it as your blog might get a google penalty. 1 or 2 guest posts per month are acceptable but more than that I would not recommend anyone.
Because in the Guest post or paid post you will be giving them a do-follow backlink since they are paying to you. Backlinks influence search engine rankings in google and this is against Google webmaster guidelines.
8. BuySellAds
BuySellAds is another premium ad network that pays per thousand impressions (CPM). If you have a good high-quality site then you can apply for this network.
There are many big publishers on this network and working with them is super easy. You just have to create slots on your blog and sell your inventory on buysellads.
As the name says, Buysellads is a marketplace for both publishers and advertisers. If your blog is good then any advertiser can buy ad slots on your site on a CPM basis.
You can set your own prices. You can visit their site to get complete information about how it works.
9. Ezoic
Ezoic has recently become very popular since they serve high-paying ads on your blog. It again works on the CPM model means you will get paid a certain amount per 1000 ad impressions.
Earlier they used to have 10,000 pageviews requirement to get accepted in their network but recently they have removed these limitations.
Now anyone can apply for ezoic and if you publish good content then there is a 100% possibility that your blog will get accepted in their network.
My Personal Experience With Ezoic:
I have a blog in the health and fitness niche and at that time I was using Google Adsense on that particular blog. Since I am constantly looking for new ways to monetize my sites I came across the Ezoic ad network.
I did a little bit of research on it and came to know that it is a certified google Adsense partner and has been in this industry for a very long time.
I also watched several youtube videos on youtube about their performance and earnings and there were many bloggers who were claiming that ezoic pays much better than Google Adsense.
This really created curiosity inside me and I thought why not just give it a try. I applied for ezoic and since that blog was fairly new and was not having much traffic but I was 100% sure that my blog will get approved for monetization.
The next day I got an email stating that my ezoic account has been approved.
Does Ezoic Pays Better Than Google Adsense (Conditions Apply)
Yes, it is 100% true that Ezoic pays much better than Google Adsense (Especially in my case). But let me tell you that Ezoic works best if your blog gets traffic from developed countries like the US, UK, and Canada.
- If you have a blog on any regional language then I would recommend you to please stay with google Adsense only.
- Also, If your target audience is India then Google Adsense works best and of course, you can try other methods as well which I have mentioned in this post but I would not recommend Ezoic for Indian traffic.
10. Provide Your Service
This is another very great way to earn money from blogging. You can promote your services on your blog and those who are interested can contact you and you can charge them.
I used this method for a blog setup service and believe me guys this really works very well. Here you can make money in the following ways:
- By charging a fixed amount for blog setup service.
- By asking them to buy from your affiliate links.
- Provide any after-sales service like blog maintainance or technical support
- You can either ask them to pay for your blog setup service or they must buy from your affiliate links.
- But I have seen that if your service is really good then your readers will be more than happy to buy from your affiliate links as well.
You can apply this technique to any field. For example:
- If you are a dietician then you can give them a personalized diet plan for weight loss or weight gain.
- If you are a doctor then you can give them online consultation
- If you are a teacher then you can give them online classes
- If you are a fitness trainer then you can give them personal training online or offline
11. Promote Your Products
There are many small businesses in India that don’t have a large budget to do online advertising so the best way for them is to start their blog and promote their products to their readers.
This will help your small business to get more exposure and traffic from google and other search engines. This converts really well if you have a targeted audience.
Important Tip:
Try to publish content on your blog that solves the reader’s problem and if your product is really helpful in solving their problems then they will definitely consider buying it.
I have seen many bloggers who are using these techniques to make a very handsome income from their blogs.
For Example:
In my health and fitness niche, I promote weight loss products and services on my blog and since my blog has a very targeted audience they convert really very well.
In fact, the best part here is these products are not mine, but I still get a very good commission when anybody purchases them through my affiliate link.
If you have your product then can promote your product and if you don’t have it then you can try promoting other’s products and services on your blog.
